Battuta plays an original blend of Brazilian, Cuban and West African Rhythms mixed with a funk/ big band style Horn section. The band is made up of some of the most talented and daring players currently performing and educating in the country. The vast collective knowledge of world percussion and horn section performance can bring about some astonishing results.
The music is hard hitting yet subtle with original 'big band' style horn arrangements and contemporary and passionate percussion fusions that remain respectful to their roots.
We play at Carnivals, Festivals, Night clubs, Theatres and pretty much anywhere that appreciates a good groove.
