Sarah was born and educated in Nottingham, she started playing classical guitar at the age of six and subsequently studied Cello and Piano. She received her eclectic musical apprenticeship playing in Educational Orchestras, String quartets, Choirs, Guitar groups, Rock Bands and Big Bands touring England, Poland, France and playing regularly at the renowned Edinburgh festival.

Sarah completed a BA Honours Music degree achieving a first class Honours in Peformance at The University of Salford studying Voice with Clare Hogan-Taylor and pursuing Guitar as a secondary study. She became principal vocalist with Salford University Big Band under the baton of Malcom Melling, supporting the likes of Gerard Presencer and Gordon Campbell. During her time at The University of Salford she was fortunate enough to be mentored by many seasoned professional musicians including Jan Kopinski, Duncan Winfield and Robin Dewhurst.

Alongside regular function and residential commitments interpreting contemporary songs and jazz standards, she has also performed original Jazz at various festivals including Lancaster, Canterbury and Nottingham Jazz festivals.

Sarah has performed throughout the Midlands with the Watermelon Music Club collective, she actively sings Jazz on the Northern circuit including appearences at Harrogate and Guiseley Jazz clubs.

Sarah still maintains her instrumental playing in diverse settings and freelances for various musical outfits.In 2006 she embarked on a tour with sixties artist PJ Proby, in a Johnny Cash tribute show performing in theatres throughout the United Kingdom. She is currently touring as the bassist and backing vocalist with this musical group known collectively as 'the feds'.
